Product Information
With Momentum's new NE2 coverstock, more of the ball surface meets the lane. The result is better friction, resulting in greater control in any oil condition. The Momentum comes polished, so its energy is conserved until it reaches the end of the oil pattern. This ball was designed for today's league bowling conditions. It's the dominant league ball that's missing from your bag.

BARNES CLAIMS 10th PBA TITLE AT DON JOHNSON BUCKEYE STATE OPEN
Posted on Tuesday April 1st @ 2:43 PM
HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. -- Columbia 300 staffer Chris Barnes claimed his 10th career Dennys PBA Tour title at the Don Johnson Buckeye State Open on March 2, 2008. A 209-197 win over Ken Simard earned Barnes his second title for the season as well as a four-point lead in the race for the PBA Player of the Year award.

Chris understanding of PBA oil patterns as well as his ability to manipulate them to work to his advantage is astounding, said Chad Murphy, Columbia 300 brand manager. By taking risks on the lanes and knowing his competition, Chris continues to be a formidable opponent on Tour.

Using Columbias Momentum ball, Barnes approached each lane differently by playing the deep inside part of the left lane and straight on the right lane. Going into the tenth frame, Simard was unable to obtain the three strikes needed to claim victory, enabling Barnes to take home the title, $25,000 and a four- point lead in the race to become the PBA Player of the Year. This win also holds significant meaning for Barnes, as it was named after PBA Hall of Fame member Don Johnson, a former Columbia 300 staffer.

  Columbia 300 Picks Up Momentum
Posted on Friday November 16th @ 2:34 PM
HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. – Columbia 300’s new Momentum ball is ushering in a “New Era” for bowlers with an updated coverstock designed to produce friction in the body of any lane.

“It’s a wonderful compliment to the already popular Resurgence.  This ball makes the same good move to the pins as the Resurgence only later on the lane.  The cover (NE2) of the Momentum is very aggressive, so aggressive we had to polish it moving all the power down the lane creating maximum pin action,” said Chad Murphy, Columbia 300 brand manager.

The Momentum features the Resurgence core with a lower flare potential than most High Performance balls. This allows the driller to “tune in” a desired reaction by moving the pin in relation to the bowler’s preferred action point.

Momentum, available in Purple/Orange/Red Pearl in 12-16 pounds, is designed for today’s league bowling conditions.
