	HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. � Veteran PBA player and Columbia 300 staffer, Chris Barnes, took home the Bayer Classic Feb. 10, bringing him to the front of the PBA Player of the Year race with his ninth overall career title. Barnes defeated Ebonite staff player, Tommy Jones, 241-158. �Chris has yet again proved why he�s the greatest player on the Tour today,� said Chad Murphy, Columbia 300 brand manager. �His vision in choosing where to play the lanes combined with is power and touch is absolutely amazing. The pattern he won on this week is designed to be played inside and he took our strongest ball, the Resurgence, and made the lanes look easy from out.� Barnes, a Double Oak, Texas resident, defeated Mika Koivuniemi, 240-198, in the semifinal match before facing off against Jones in the televised finals where he struck in the seventh, eighth and ninth frames to seal the win. With this victory, Barnes took a four point lead over Walter Ray Williams, Jr. in the Player of the Year race and earned $25,000 plus an exemption for the 08-09 season.

	HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. – A power player on heavier volumes of oil, Resurgence is the rebirth of high performance balls from Columbia 300. “We built the new Resurgence from the ground up and it’s sure to become the new standard in this industry for friction in oil,” shared Chad Murphy, brand manager. “This ball is strong on any heavier volume pattern.” The Resurgence features a new veneer called ‘New Era,’ a reactive formula designed to create more friction in oil than any of Columbia 300’s most recent models. With a new symmetric core called ‘Resurgence’ and designed with a low RG of 2.46 and a medium differential of .043, this core system allows pro shop operators to use stronger or weaker drills to achieve differences in reactions for any given bowler. This combination of core and veneer will allow even the lowest rev players to dominate heavy oil with a strong drill. Resurgence comes in Black/Gold/Silver and is available in 12 – 16 pounds.
