Hudson, NH – September 4, 2007 – Team Dexter announced today that PBA superstars Patrick Allen, Chris Barnes, and Doug Kent have joined Dexter’s Pro Staff. These three giants of the bowling world have joined an already elite faction of players that trust Dexter to be their shoes.
Patrick Allen, the 2004-2005 PBA Player of the Year, recently became the newest member of the PBA to reach over one million dollars in career earnings. Allen holds the second-highest single-season earnings mark in PBA Tour history ($350,740 in 2004-05).
Chris Barnes is currently ranked 2nd on Tour in points, and is annually one of the most consistent bowlers on tour. The 1998 PBA Rookie of the Year has earned over $100,000 in eight consecutive seasons.
2006-2007 was an historic season for Doug Kent. Kent became the first bowler since Dexter’s own Walter Ray Williams, Jr. (2002-2003) to win two major titles in the same season by virtue of his wins in the 2006 USBC Masters and the 2007 Denny’s World Championship. Those victories, along with cashing in all 20 events in which he participated, helped Kent earn the prestigious honor of 2006-07 PBA Tour Player of the Year.
“This is a very exciting day for Dexter Bowling,” said Bud Clapsaddle, national sales manager for Dexter. “To add three bowlers the caliber of Patrick, Chris and Doug speaks volumes about what the very best pros think about our shoes.”
Allen, Barnes and Kent will join other top professionals Walter Ray Williams, Jr., Tommy Jones, Jason Couch, Tommy DeLutz, Jr. Carolyn Dorin-Ballard and Ryan Shafer on Dexter’s Pro Staff.
